Lans Omar: Behind The Scenes

Hello everyone!

From Winnipeg, Canada, respect to all my fam, fans, and friends!

The weekend vibes are here – Adebayor fading out of the picture, Salone Patriots Blog drops in the media world, meet the potential SLPP flagbearers for the 2028 presidential election, run away president - Ernest Bai Koroma in the question of the day, plus lots more. You're about to read another neck-breaking edition of “Behind the Scenes". This column is the radical thoughts of one guy called Lans Omar aka the "Golden Child” - born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Let's do this: Sierra Leone’s political comedian/commentator, Adebayor, is gradually fading out of the scene since he lost the battle to the Paopa Boys in the last presidential elections in Sierra Leone. The political comedian/commentator has been accused by the SLPP supporters and the current Sierra Leone government of inciting and fueling violences and riots in Sierra Leone. Adebayor is doing this from the comfort of his apartment in The Netherlands where he’s calling on the grassroots, he calls them, to go out and fight for freedom from the current SLPP government.

Quite recently, Adebayor has reduced his audios to only two times a week from the daily doses he’s been feeding his fanbase. Now, he’s slowly moving from political vibes to entertainment messages with a “Jeans Revolution” dinner & dance that is scheduled to take place on May 3 & 4, 2024 in Brussels. Apparently, the dude is gradually fading out. Nar man go tell am.

Switching gears: Salone Patriots Blog, the new Sierra Leonean interactive social media blog platform has been officially launched in the media world. It's operating from the heart of Canada - Toronto! Salone Patriots Blog is a sister site of 40 Acres Canada, and the two sites are in partnership in which both platforms produce the same content but Salone Patriots Blog is more interactive where bloggers/followers can actually engage with each other and discuss serious matters of the heart. As with 40 Acres Canada, Salone Patriots Blog is non-partisan and supports NO politician or political party in Sierra Leone. Maurice Kamara of Toronto, Canada, is currently the content creator/admin for the Salone Patriots Blog, and please check out the site at SALONE PATRIOTS BLOG We are a silent majority!

Next stop: With President Bio’s term coming to an end in 2028, the limelight is focusing on potential successors vying for the party’s flagbearer position in the 2028 presidential election in Sierra Leone. Among the frontline contenders are current Vice President - Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, Former Minister - Dr. Alie Kabba, current Chief Minister - Dr. David Sengeh (Dada minister), Anti-Corruption Commissioner - Francis Ben Kaifala, Alhaji Musa Tarawally, Dr. Kandeh Yumkella and Andrew Jaiah Kaikai amongst others. Political commentators have been asserting that Dr. Kandeh Yumkella will emerge as the main flagbearer of the party but I’m just worried that the ghosts of 2018 will come looking for KKY again, dead serious. Anyways, let’s see what’s coming up as 2028 is fast approaching.

Question: Just wondering what is run away president Ernest Bai Koroma doing in Abuja, Nigeria? De popay nor serious! You heard me clearly!!

FinallyAgain, the weekend is here! I might be heading out to the Reserves at Lake St. Martin with my mother in law. if that doesn't happen, I'll be chilling at home with my wife - Pretty Woman.

Fellas, not sure where the heat is on in the city this weekend, but I heard there are lots of stuffs happening in the city this weekend. My favourite hang-out spot is the The Forks, trust, there are tons of fun things to do at The Forks. Again, if you plan to have some good time and get a drink, you know the rules, right? If you’re drinking, don’t drive – if you’re driving, don’t drink. Have a great weekend! Lonta.

I'm out of here!

Cheers fellas!

The Golden Child.
